Online Business Scams

I have been seeking employment on the Internet, or work that is legitimate for about 4 years now, and have decided after receiving this last email, to start listing who these scams are, what they end up wanting, and what they don’t end up giving. So, without further ado, here is the first scam to be listed

http://www.typing4dollars.net/

This has some cruddy little story that I have been seeing perpetuated around the net under other names, but do not believe the lies this story gives you. It promises you typing work, where one can make between 100 and 900 dollars a day! Here is the truth -these people are really selling you ( that is right , to get to the ‘typing jobs’ you must pay$47.00!) ebooks on how to make “obscene” amounts of money on the Internet, and other such useless goodies.

Everyone must realize that there are next to zero real employment offers on the net, finding a job that pays you for work, not gonna happen. All of these are scams, selling you things that never ever work for you. Now if you are happy making an extra 200.00 a month (if you arel lucky) and paying out of that about 50.00 a month, try ameriplan. Me, I want real work, I do the work a company pays me. That is simple right?

Keep checking in, for more of these lovely scams, I think my next one will be Russ Dalbey’s little deals, those are great reads!

The only way you will make money on the internet is to spend a little… Yes, it is 47 dollars, but I wouldn’t say that it does not work…

    Hello

If you are saying that this program has given you what it promises, then I would be happy to have you discuss your success here. All that this ad promises and sells a person for the 47.00 is a comlete set of ebooks ( a scam all in themselves) and a book of where to look for typing jobs, a directory.
A person who knows better, knows that typing positions are few and far between, certainly not what this ad promises! But if you can show me where I am incorrect, please let me know. and I will post what I am shown here.

I don’t have much to say about the typing4dollars, but the Rus Dalbey program is far from a scam… I know a few people personally that got into that business and HAVE made money… Yes, it’s something you have to learn, but once you learn the program it’s very benefical…

the funny thing about that program is, I have actually done my research into what he is offering, and by the time you have spent well over 5000.00 then you MIGHT make some money, ask your friends who have become involved to SHOW you how much they had to invest into his program to make money! You cant make it with the initial 145.00 he tells you it will cost in the booklet he sends, after you send that to them, you HAVE to get other parts of the program, and this keeps on happening until you have sunk considerable moneies into the program. The worst thing is, you can do what he is promoting, all on YOUR own, for free.
Russ Dalby is a scam artist period, and until I hear from him personally, and he answers my questions my ideas about him and his program wont change.
I would love to hear from people who made money with ONLY the 145.00 he tells you it will cost, know any?

I would like to thank everyone for personally sharing their experience with these scams. Honestly, I would like to find honest and legal Internet money-making opportunities. I am currently unemployed due to a physical back condition in which I’ve had no choice but to accept state disability benefits. If this condition did not pose problems with employment, I would be doing computer work. I custom-build PC’s for the home and business. Basically I’m home being a housewife.

Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.

    Hello Kim
I wish I could tell you that there is really some kind of employment on the internet ( by this i mean, an employer-employee relationship which I am sure you already know) however I have not found one ( with exception being the Photomax opp I spoke about, and even that is you pay for the opp to run this business, still a good one if you can afford to do it) Businesses that have off company site jobs, ususally only hire within the company, a seniority type situation; at least that is what I have been told.
I wish you luck , I know how it is to have a back disability, my husband was injured by a fall at work over a year ago. God Bless you.

I am always tempted to try one of these get rich quick schemes but a little voice keeps telling me, “you do not EVER,EVER, get something for mothing”. I would really like to speak with these poeple that have made $10,000 in 3 seconds on these fantastic programs. Are these people really making this kind of money? If this is the case, why isn’t everybody that has internet service and can type and read, doing this? Why would I work at a job that pays $40,000 a year when I can make that in a day? HUH? You see, it just makes no sense at all. Somebody educate me. What am I missing here?

You are right, these things are always something that “they” get rich from, due to people like me sending them money. I call it preying on the down trodden syndrome.I see that even if you buy one of these systems, and then send it back before the usual 30 days, they still make the money in interest off what you initially paid, so its a win win for these folks.
Some of us are in need of some type of work online , its a shame that with all this power of the internet at our hands, the one thing that really can not be done is making money ( except for those lucky few that is)

This company is in fact not a scam… the thing you have to understand is that you are not “buying a job” from them. What you are actually doing is purchasing a guide that will give you all the steps necessary to generate income from home. I know for a fact that you can make money with it because I have… you pay the money and get your guide (that for the record has video and audio files that tell you exactly what to do) and follow the steps. It’s that simple. Within about two weeks I made upwards of $300 and I only played around with it for a couple of hours every few days. They have enhanced it now with a new site called Zoofer and they do most of the work for you, you just write about stuff you like and they make sure your basic ads are set up so you get paid. Don’t assume just beacuse you have a bad taste about another company that this company is bad. It works…

Glad to hear you have made money from this, can you please explain something? Does the guide you buy tell you where to find work on the net? Is it just a redirect to some other place where you have to pay more money, and is itself another redirect……. on and on so to speak? Or is this guide you buy in fact a way to start working with no other info needing to be bought?

I almost did not let your comment through, but in the hopes of showing exactly what these companies represent, I let you and your lovely comment in. Now, ZOOFER – prove that you make money, money that is promised by these places! And show us exactly how many teeth you have had to pull out of your own mouth to get the payments you have! If I am full of “Crap” as you say ( boy, you must not do any customer service calls hey?) show it dude.
otherwise, go back to your kitchen table and get over the feelings you seem to be repressing.
And, by the way, I have no problems marketing myself, seems you do tho , since you say you make “Some extra” money, hope you do better soon.

you have that completely correct, if people would just see that asking for money is NOT how a business hires people legitimately, they would be scammed less. I love that folks come here and try to tell me otherwise, I think they are from the company itself, no one who has been bamboozled by these places would come here and try to mess with others.
I just hope that those who have come across a REAL opportunity will post here.

And to add to that; have you noticed that a section in the Type 4 Money website threatens that the website is going to be pulled down soon because it is such a good offer and everyone is snapping it up? Well the website is still there September 2010 and I notice these posts are March 2007… (click). Also, scam artists are very clever and it wouldn’t suprise me if the people posting on this site who are defending the scam are infact part of the set up of the scam… People, if you wan’t to make money you have to educate yourself in the world of business. Educaiton does not have to cost either, you can learn all you need to know in a business development type role or in a project environment. Apply at admin level for a business development role or into a project environment and learn as you go along. Yes this may take three or four years but isn’t that how long some university courses take? So to summarise, doing it this way will mean your employer will pay you a wage while you get the valuable experience required to set up business. In addition your employer may send you to training courses/ college or university if you show you are worthe their investment.

      Happy learning people. :0)

ignorance is rampant among us Americans. This is a real opportunity to make money on the net. “We dont like to read point blank”. That is what you ignorant fools should say. The first e-book is 82 pages long. all this company is guilty of is sharing everything they know. The reality in life is that is costs money to make money. And it doesnt happen overnight.

And on the topic of ebooks, anyone ( ANYONE) can make and peddle an ebook, that does not give it value to the person who pays for it, only to the person who peddles it off onto unsuspecting folks who have yet to learn the ropes of evil behavior most of these wanna be gurus who prey on them.

It won’t get you rich, but you can make a few hundred dollars with little investment. I started a website called Duke of Dollars (http://dukeofdollars.com). You get paid for completing offers such as free surveys, trial memberships, and requesting information. If anyone wants to hear more, just ask and I’ll be happy to tell you more! I’ve been trying typing4dollars and I too have a blog of zoofer. I’m so disturbed right now because I just got done reading a bunch of complaints about and and there are so many people who believe it’s a scam. They say that after the $47 to start, they’ve been getting charged monthly, something that was not clear from the beginning. I have not been a member long enough to get those monthly charges so I’m just reading up right now and contacting them to find out more about it. I got the ebook but was unable to even open it up. I have no idea where the money will be coming from. I don’t understand how I will be making money from zoofer. If it’s just the $47 dollars I would continue to try it but if there are monthly charges, I think I’ll find out how to cancel and do that.

    Hello JQua
Well, I am sorry if you are having a bad experience with this program, have you checked with the BBB about this company? You can just fill out thier name in a search box they have on thier site, and you should be able to pick out thier company. This should bring up a report on the company, complete with any complaints, etc. If this is so, then you will also be able to contact the BBB for help with getting out of any contract you have, if you do find out you have a monthly charge, which it sounds like you were not completly notified of when you joined.
I found the link for Zoofer at the BBB – at least this way you will have some kind of contact if you should find the program is not what you had thought it was :

Chris please tell me. once you buy the book at typing 4dollars, how do you get employed or on the list to start typing ads? are there any other charges? it sounda easy. Are you still doing it?I found two other sites offering almost the same thing. Home.jobs-best.com;and , mintjobs.com. you can check a site called checkjobsreview.com. this site gives mint jobs a 4 star rating. and has rating information on other companies that are recommended. Typing 4 dollars is not on their list. Has anyone tried mint jobs? i’m looking for feedback. I personally have turned down the following on line jobs, FYI…. easy daily cash;cash2flow;vermabuilder;passport to wealth;global internet works.

    Hello lynda

If Zoofer is nothing but a collective of writers who write posts and have the ads ( from places such as Adsense, that is my example here, not sure what Zoofer uses) then this is something you can do on your own, for free completely for free. With the exact same amount of effort, mind you. If you are interested in blogging and making money from it, then you can do so starting with Google itself.
Give me an email if you would like to know more, I can only say I am much happier blogging for myself, on my terms with no one to answer to or share with!

    Hello everyone,
as you can see i have not checked in for a while. Thats because i decided to try out Type at home. Heres the scoop on it.
You pay $49.95 for a VIP site that takes you through a step by step program. That instructs you to get a free account at paydotcom, this tracks your sales.”However” is also asks that you post at min of 100 ads, as often as possible. using the free method. This free method does post your ad but it post’s it at the bottom of the list!…how often do people check the last link?? I know i never do. Then the only way you get paid is “IF” someone clicks on to your post, that takes them to the link for the ad. If they decied to buy, then your tracking link for paydotcom logs it as your commission. Or you can”pay” to get put at the top of the list or first page. This will cost anywhere from .10 – .30 everytime someone clicks on your ad/link. They explain that Key Words will attract people to click on you ad. They also suggest you create a yahoo, google and blog acct. for free traffic. You can also join surveys as a vip member, however this will create “many emails” to do surveys for $3, – $5, you can get over whelmed with emails!!! they all will ask you to Join or order. The type at home steps say to ignore the up sells, but if you do, you can’t complete the survey! ALSO: Whenever i had questions the email, or support desk, or contact email to “Billy Briggs” himself were found to be unreachable! the only way i was able to get any of my questions answered was , after logging onto pay dot com, at the bottom click on member forum, here several! people with questions were chatting to each other to try and figure it out. They claim you can make money the same day, but for me it took a couple weeks just to go through all the steps, creating other accounts, blogg, etc. Pay dot com does a great job of getting you to companys to choose to do ads for, however i have yet to see a dime. I spent several hours in front of the computer. It is not as easy as they claim. Maybe if i had the extra cash to pay for a better spot at the internet sites i may have seen some money. Unfortunately i gave up……..I felt i wasted a month on a home business that got a 5 star rating! I was encouraged that i would start making money right away, not so, if no one ever goes to your site and orders, you make zero. Maybe the trick is getting the answer to free traffic? and how to generate it. But i can say you do not make money the same day like it explains, and it is not as easy. especially if there is no one at the support desk to help you. If anyone has had success with this please tell me i would certainly like to know.

I unfortunately found this site not even 5 minutes after I signed up for the Typing for Dollars site. I figure, what the heck, I will give it a day or 2 and check it out but another side of me thinks that I may just cancel now and pray for my money back.

I can handle making a few cents here and there if it adds up and makes my money back and just a little extra, BUT I am disappointed because they stated that you got all this other info including Survey Sites (which I don’t need because I too have been getting bombarded with 400+ e-mails a day – thank god I got another e-mail set up for all of this before I started so I don’t miss out on important e-mails in my original acct), a list of 10,000 plus companies that you could get paid from, and other things that are not available on the site as promised.

I normally do check on companies before I make the plunge, but shame on me if I get screwed over because I blindly jumped into this one.

I am very happy that you have this site – it is a great help. I too am working on setting up a site for people to check and see which sites are legite and not. I am a member of probably 30+ sites for surveys and have only found about 3 or 4 that actually pay you although, at this point, I am still waiting to get paid. Most survey sites give you points and you need to do a thousand surveys before you get enough “Points” to be able to cash in.

I have found that the closest thing to making money from home is Mystery Shopping. If nothing else, you get a free meal.

Once again, thank you, and I will save this site so I can check back.

The only *real* work at home jobs that I know of are telecommuting jobs. Don’t get sucked into these phony scams. There’s a legit demand for virtual assistants, writers, graphic designers, programmers etc. Or maybe you can create your own *position*

I was surfing the web… and came across this blog. There is way to much negative energy here to accomplish anything but alot of anxiety and push to go back into the system of 9 to 5 and expressways. There are jobs where you are the employee and independent contractor jobs on the internet. There are telecommuting sales jobs also for reputable companies… and you do not have to pay a fee… I know I have been working from home for over 5 years part time and now full time after my telecommunication company went belly up bankrupt in March of 2006. I can pay my mortgage, car and truck insurance, dogs eat horse eats and I eat. The jobs do not have the same salaries as driving out somewhere but it all averages out to bethe same. No gas, no clothes, no nylons, no road rage. This just seems to be a few lazy posters that arent willing to do the work to find them… Now some jobs are only offered in certain states but that is okay you may live in those states… Dont listen to all the negativity. There are jobs….

Have been going through that page, and so far….. two places have shown promise, however with one of them, cost involved, albeit low, and then after paying for that, you have to hope they can help find employment.
However I am willing to give this my utmost attention, and will report back here in about week ( I work on my writing for a review and support of a current TV show and that takes a bit of my time lately) but IF I find there are true positions , places that offer real employment with low costs I will absolutely post here so others can reap the benefits of a truthful review.
Thanks tho, for posting that link it is, I admit one I have never come across. And by the way, I am the owner of this blog, and I have infact done quite a bit of home work on this subject. And if anyone else is successful with this link of info, in getting employment , please let us know here!

I appreciate your efforts. I have never been on this site but plan on it. Just curious do you know how so many places can say Free and when you get to END of form they want you to send $X.00 amount of money. This p’s me off and wastes alot of time.
Just wondered- why is it legal,or can they be reported somewhere for false advertising?
      Thanks

Cloud 10 is hiring, Teletech is hiring and both of these companies pay taxes and you are and employee… 1-800 flowers is hiring if you live in Florida or one of the other states listed… Your computer will have to pass an evaluation… and you will be tested… and I do have a niece that is working for two of these companies that I pointed her to and making money… the only money she invested in was to add more memory to her computer and a headset for a corded phone… and American Airlines is also listed on that list and they are hiring if you live in the states where thier hubs are at and they are listed so you can be trained but still work from home… This is a good list and others I am sure some will be hired if you meet the qualifications… Good luck

    Hello Frank

Thank you so much for adding your info here, I have been off blogging for a few tv shows ( Jericho and Moonlight) and we have been fighting to get the show back on the air, so that is why this poor beloved site has been so silent. I do intend now that I am no longer as involved with the shows, to be back here much more.
Will for sure do some reading up on this scam you mention, what I find out will be posted here!

Thank you again for posting it for all of us!

Unwillingly I have to admit that I have been taken by a making money from home scam. I consider myself an intelligent person, holding MS degrees in engineering and microbology but that too dose not matter when it comes to these “GET RICH SCAMS”. I am presently on short term disability and I thought what better way to spend my time by making a few thousand dollars a month for my family. I have two daughters in college and as we all know tuition is expensive.
Well I joined Data Entry Made Easy. Its very similar to typing4dollars. After investing my 49.95 the first thing I learned is that if I closed out one of the so called on line communications I would of saved $10 on the entry fee. The system tell you to set-up an account at PayDotCom for your tracking link and the first thing I encountered there is a sales pitch to purchase a bunch of totally unnecessary software. It seemed that every page they told me to open someone was trying to sell me something. I thought I was doing this to make thousands of dollars a month. Bells started to ringimmediately. After I set up my tracking link I proceeded on. By the way, in setting up my account I had to give PayDotCom my SS#. Like the intelligent person I think I am, I gave PDC my ss# and presently I am taking legal action against. Boy am I making money!!!
The next step was to pick a product and set-up to promote that product. PayDotCom had products to promote which included my own Data Entry Made Easy as well as several other scams from CyberJunky.com. I avoided this by using links they supplied. I found some products in the areas of of gambling and lottery winning systems which I thought would be attractive to the internet public. What my get rich program didn’t tell me is that these companies wanted high caliber, web site designers with successful programs that they promoted before they would even consider letting me become an affiliate to promote their products. I have no experience in this arena and my past education was not worth a plug nickle. After trying to work with my program for about two weeks putting in substantial time,(by the way I wrote 27 emails to my help desk with not one response) the light went on and I saw what this program was really telling me, “S U C K E R”
Well I going to try to extract my pound of flesh. I have packaged every bit of data and information I was given and researched and sent it to every federal and state Justice Department, the FBI, to federal and State government officials and State Police in several states where my program gave addresses and from my research of the company and the named executives on record. I know alone my case may not unvail this scam but if all of us just wrote a few emails to the authorities maybe we can at least make them spend that $49.95 with some blood sucking lawyer. I should of known better after reading their liaibility statement where they stated you can make nothing from this program and you may loose money but they ar not responsable for anything.

DO NOT WORK FOR CLOUD 10!!!!
I accepted a 2 week position with them, along with about 200 other reps, and the majority of us were cut after only 3 days. There were system problems for those 3 days and many of us could not even stay logged into their systems and therefore it seems we will not even be getting paid for the hours that we worked. We only got 4 hours of training for the project. They are disorganized, do not keep their word and I would never again work for them!

I thought maybe an update to my post on Jan 30 2009 might be of interest.

I’m still using the same program I mentioned in that post and am making a bit more money than I was then.

In fact the program has undergone some major upgrades since then which make it easier to use, and is still the same price.
But again I stress that this is not GRQ – it takes some work and business skill to make it online, the same as offline. If it was as easy as the scams would like you to believe, we would all be millionaires by now.

There is a video which explains in detail how this works at http://videotour.sbi-web.net

I get very frustrated when I see honest people led up the garden path by bad information, whether intentional scams or just ignorance.
Even if you don’t use the program, the video will outline the process you need to use to build a successful online business.

Another quick update on the SBI program.

SBI have put $50,000 on the table for anyone that can find a better value internet program.

See http://50000challenge.sbi-web.net for details (look for the $50,000 challenge in the left Nav Col)

The challenge runs till 8 November.

And watch out for another major upgrade coming soon, probably in December

This will be a WSYWYG website builder that is truly next generation.

See http://case-studies.sbi-web.net to read how people are using this to work online.

Well, the WSYWYG (what you see is what you get) editor I mentioned previously is now online, allowing anyone to build an online business without knowing HTML or CSS or other programming languages. See BB2 on buildit.sbi-web.net

Why not have a look at facebook.sbi-web.net and follow the community of people using this program to get a handle on how online business works.
